Arrival – Gansbaai Harbour: Your adventure begins at the Great White House in Gansbaai, with check-in typically around 10:00am (exact time confirmed the day prior depending on tides and weather). Enjoy a light meal while preparing, followed by a safety and conservation briefing.
Departure & Ocean Safari: Board the vessel and cruise towards the waters near Dyer Island, one of the best-known shark hotspots in the world. Keep an eye out for whales, dolphins, seals, and seabirds along the way.
Shark Cage Diving Experience: Once anchored, the crew begins attracting sharks using environmentally responsible methods. You'll have the chance to enter the secure cage and witness these incredible animals up close. Excellent surface viewing is available for those staying on deck.
Relax & Return: Warm up on board with snacks and drinks, reflecting on the experience with your own private group. The boat returns to harbour, where a warm bowl of soup awaits.
Important Information
The boat charter is private and exclusive to your group. All wetsuits and gear are fully cleaned and sterilised after each use. Each trip is led by experienced crew, including a marine biologist. Modern changing rooms, hot showers, and guest facilities are available at the harbour. Dietary needs can be catered for with prior notice. Private return transfers from Cape Town can be arranged at approximately R1200 per person.
